Cafeteria Green Team
Debby Lee Cohen, CafCu Director, training CAMBA SOnyc after school staff.
Cafeteria Culture is now offering adult training and Professional Development for our ARTS+ACTION Zero Waste Cafeterias and School Program. The program has 2 parallel components:
  • Cafeteria Ranger Training; and
  • Make Change Messaging, an interdisciplinary curriculum to support school wide sustainability engagement.

We currently offer an elementary, middle, and after school versions of the program.
Please contact us for more information on after school staff training workshops.

In 2013, Cafeteria Culture partnered with CIVITAS, a community organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Upper East Side and East Harlem.  Together, we led our ARTS+ACTION Cafeteria Waste Reduction Program at PS/MS 7 and Global Tech Prep in East Harlem with the generous support of CIVITAS, while training CIVITAS adult volunteers to lead the program on their own.

VISION
We envision a plastic free and zero waste future where landfill and incinerator garbage as we know it no longer exists;
where post consumption waste from food to packaging is drastically reduced
and what remains benefits our schools, communities, and the environment.
